Meredith Founds graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Hospitality Management and Tourism with a Minor in Business

Meredith comes from a family of teachers and realized she could no longer deny the calling of teaching and went back to Northwestern State University to pursue her degree in Masters of Arts in Teaching, PK-3 and graduated in 2016. While pursuing her Masters degree, Meredith taught Kindergarten for 3 years in Sabine Parish. This will be Meredith’s first year teaching at W. T. Meredith and Adam have been blessed with two beautiful and spunky girls, Blair and Millie.

Lauren Smith graduated from the University of Phoenix in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.  She completed her student teaching in 3rd grade at Stockwell Place Elementary.  Mrs. Smith's  first year of teaching was in 4th grade at Stockwell Place.  She moved to Alexandria shortly after  where she taught 3rd grade at Cherokee Elementary.  Mrs. Smith returned home and is LOVES  teaching here at W.T. Lewis Elementary. Mrs. Smith teaches Kindergarten.  She  has always known that her calling has  been to teach children.  Coming from a family of educators, education has always been a passion!  As you probably know, she is the daughter of our first principal, Mrs. Janiene Batchelor.

Mrs. Smith and her husband, Lane, and daughters, Olivia and Ainsleigh, live in Bossier City. When not in the classroom, she loves to shop, decorate, and spend time with family and friends.  Mrs. Smith is proud to be a BULLDOG!
