W.T. Lewis Elementary: This year, we won’t hold a traditional Back to School Night. Instead, teachers will share their presentations digitally in Rooms on the Bossier Schools App on August 28th! W.T. Lewis Elementary: PBIS Rewards app is an awesome resource that allows your child to earn points for PAWsome behavior & earn some super cool rewards! Your child’s teacher will also be able to document if your child is having a tough day. •First download the PBIS Rewards FAMILY app •There are three different PBIS apps, one is for students, one is for staff, & one is for family. Make sure you have downloaded the PBIS Family app with the purple icon •Next scan your child’s QR code (in their dog binder on green paper) •Then follow the instructions to complete registration •If you're still having trouble, email our PBIS coordinator, emilyD.williams@bossierschools.org •Please keep the letter with your student's QR code in a safe place in the event that you may need it again in the future

W.T. Lewis Elementary: Lewis League is a group of volunteers that support the school. The group meets once a month to discuss various topics, plan school events, and volunteer at events. All parents are encouraged to join the Lewis League. Please share with other W.T. Lewis parents. The first Lewis League Meeting of the year will be on August 28th at 4:30 PM in the W.T. Lewis Library. Purpose: * Meet the Administration Team and other volunteers * Learn about our school goals for the 25-26 year Interested in joining our Lewis League? W.T. Lewis Elementary: 🍎 We are so excited to begin the new year tomorrow! Below are a few first day reminders! Doors Open: 7:45 AM Breakfast Ends: 8:00 AM Tardy Bell: 8:10 AM Dismissal Bell: 3:10 PM 🍎 Kindergarten-2nd grade students should wear the sticker they received at Meet the Teacher Night with their name and teacher's name. Parents will not be permitted to walk students to class with the exception of Kindergarten parents on their scheduled staggered start day. 🍎Carline tags are required to pick up students in the carline for dismissal. If you do not have a carline tag, you can get your student and your carline tag in the office after dismissal is complete. You will need your ID. Please see our previous post for carline procedures & policy.

W.T. Lewis Elementary: 🚘 Please view the attached map for our 2 carline routes. Carline A enters from Modica Lott Road coming from Swan Lake Road. Carline B enters from Innovation Drive & Modica Lott Road. 🚘 If your child will be a car rider and you do not have a carline tag, please get one from the office before August 7th at NOON. If you are unable to get a carline tag before this date, you will need to park in the parking lot, rather than getting in the carline. Students will not be released to parents until dismissal is over. You will need your ID. We want to ensure safety of all students. Thank you for your understanding! W.T. Lewis Car Line Policy: 🚘The east side parking lot is designated for car pick-up and drop-off. Before 8:10 am and after 2:30 pm cars are not permitted to park, drop off or pick up in the bus line.   🚘Remain in your car at all times.  School personnel will help your child get to and from the cars. 🚘Students may be dropped off between 7:45 and 8:10 a.m., and dismissal is at 3:10. 🚘Students must load/unload from the passenger side of the vehicle. 🚘If a parent must accompany the child into the school, a parent/guardian must park & walk with the child across the parking lot to the school doors. 🚘Cell phone usage is prohibited by law in a school zone.  You may not use your phone in the car line. This policy is for the safety of our students, so exceptions to this policy will not be made.

W.T. Lewis Elementary: ALL W.T. Lewis students eat breakfast & lunch for FREE this year! Breakfast begins at 7:45 AM and ends at 8:00 AM. Students will need to enter the breakfast line at 8:00 or before to be served breakfast.
