W.T. Lewis Elementary: We’re looking for volunteers to help finish decorating for Teacher Appreciation Week tomorrow between 10 AM and 5 PM. You’re welcome to stay the whole time or just for as long as you can!

You must log into your account to find the listing attached to your students. All orders will be delivered to student classrooms on Tuesday, April 29th. All proceeds benefit the 5th Grade Legends.

-Kindergarten-2nd grade: April 22nd-April 23rd
Please be sure that your K-3rd grade student is at school on time!
3rd-5th Grade LEAP Testing: April 30th-May 6th
-Please ensure that students are at school on times on these dates.
-If for some reason your student must be absent from school during testing, please inform your homeroom teacher ASAP.
-Students need a good night's sleep before each day of testing.
-Ensure that students are at school on time for breakfast or eat breakfast at home!
W.T. Lewis Elementary: Dear Parents,
To help pump up our students for end of year testing, we would like to encourage you to write a note to your student(s). This surprise for students on the first morning of their testing will help send the message that we believe in them and know they can achieve great things!
Please write your student(s) a little note or card of encouragement and send it in to your child's homeroom teacher. Please be sure that the note or card is labeled with your student's name so the teachers will know who to pass it out to on the morning of testing. Please turn in the note/card no later than Friday, April 11th.

W. T. Lewis Elementary: The Kindness Krewe & NEHS are co-hosting a donation drive next week for Geaux 4 Kids! The items needed are: individually packaged snacks, bottles of water, & gallon size ziplock bags. The House with the most items donated will win 200 Paw Points! 🐶🫶🏻
W.T. Lewis Elementary: April is designated as Month of the Military Child – a time to recognize and support the unique challenges and contributions of military children. We have lots of exciting things planned to honor our military child students including a special show & tell opportunity!
Every Friday in April, our military students are invited to bring a picture of their military hero or a military memorabilia item to share their experience as a military child with the class during morning meeting time.
On Tuesday, April 15th, EVERYONE is invited to wear a purple shirt with uniform bottoms to celebrate Purple Up Day! We can’t wait to honor our military children this month & show them how much we appreciate them!!! 🐶💜

W.T. Lewis Elementary: Due to a concern, a gas line has been shut off. Students were evacuated out of an abundance of caution, but have since returned to class. Alternate lunch arrangements are being made. An update regarding tonight’s Talent Show will be given.
