To be named a Top Gains Honoree with the Louisiana Department of Education a school must demonstrate excellence in student growth by earning an “A” in their progress index (a major component of School Performance Scores) with a score of 90 or higher.

W.T. Lewis Elementary: W.T. Lewis is collecting canned goods and non-perishable food items until December 13th in support of Bossier Parish Operation Blessing, the parish food bank program. Items needed: peanut butter, canned meats, canned beans, pasta & pasta sauce, canned vegetables, sugar, baby food/formula, cereal, soups, rice, apple sauce. There are bins located at the front of the school for students to drop their donations into. Thank you for helping us give back to our community!
W.T. Lewis Elementary: Through its annual Coats for Kids project, Porter's Cleaners distributes coats to kids who might otherwise not have one. Coats are being collected at WT Lewis Elementary now & the donation bin is located in the front office! Please consider donating any coats or jackets your child has outgrown. W.T. Lewis Elementary: REMINDER! Harrington House will be on campus to take Christmas Pictures tomorrow! Remember to dress your child for Christmas picture day Wednesday, November 13th! Photographs will only be taken if students are not dressed in school uniform. Proof envelopes will be sent home 2 weeks after picture day. If you would like sibling portraits, send the form with the oldest child along with $5. The children must attend W.T. to be photographed.
