Why: Running is the ultimate fitness activity. It is challenging, yet rewarding and fun! The cost is $50 per student, which includes a W.T. Lewis Running Club tshirt as well as other awards & incentives. Any additional proceeds will benefit the general fund, hospitality, & professional development fund.

W.T. Lewis Elementary: Attention Kindergarten through 3rd Grade Parents: Would you like to learn more about the K-3 Literacy Screener that your child takes three times a year? Come join our Parent University on March 6th! There will be two sessions to choose from, one at 12:00pm and one at 5:00pm. You will learn what the K-3 Literacy Screener is, what information it gives us, and what you can do to support at home. We hope to see you there!


W.T. Lewis Elementary: Students are invited to wear a Mardi Gras shirt and school appropriate jeans to celebrate Mardi Gras on Tuesday, March 4th. 1st grade is hosting a parade that begins at 1PM.


Join Bossier Schools as we celebrate Louisiana Lagniappe at the 6th Annual i3 Art Expo, a FREE three-day student showcase that kicks off February 27 and runs through March 1 at the Bossier Civic Center.
The i3 Art Expo is an explosion of creativity with a heavy emphasis on STEAM, which is Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Math. In addition to artwork on display, there are also theatre and film competitions; an iCANstruction competition that uses canned goods to build structures; Cyber Night; and the Mic Drop lip sync competition, a fan favorite that packs the house every year. Also new this year, the Talented Arts Program will present "Louisiana Saturday Night" and there will be a Trashion Show where students turn recyclable items into fashion. Sciport, STARBASE and Bossier Parish Libraries will also be offering interactive exhibits, there is a book fair and LOTS of hands-on activities for the kids.

W.T. Lewis Elementary: Don’t “WEIGHT” to turn in your donations. Send them in early and help us “BUILD” up our playground fund! Every dollar counts! Turn in your funds collected so far (any amount) by 2 PM on Tuesday, February 11 to earn Workout Wednesday attire for Wednesday, February 12.


W.T. Lewis Elementary: Bossier Parish students are being invited to enter the Downtown Development Authority Mardi Gras Shoebox Parade competition and have the chance at winning valuable gift cards. See the attached graphic for more information.

W.T. Lewis Elementary: W.T. Lewis is committed to supporting our military students through our Student 2 Student (S2S) program, services through our Military Family Life Counselor, celebrating the month of the military child, & our Military Club called Brave Bulldogs! The Brave Bulldogs meet with other military students once per month. The objective of Brave Bulldogs is to provide a community of military students to connect with each other through shared experiences.
For our last meeting of this school year we are preparing a special farewell for all of our military students that will PCS this summer. If you have a PCS coming up, we would love to help your student(s) with their transition as best we can. Please send an email to emilyD.williams@bossierschools.org with your approximate move date & new station location (if you feel comfortable sharing) so we can show your student(s) lots of #lewislove before they leave!


W.T. Lewis Elementary: The Bulldog Art Club is a place for practicing artists to hone in on their skills, develop their techniques and portfolios, collaborate with other artists like themselves, create bonds with the community through the arts, and learn how to work together through group projects that will beautify the school and community. The Bulldog Art Club is open to students in all grade levels, Kindergarten through 5th grade. Each month will focus on a different medium and complete a different piece of art. The cost for February's Art Club meeting will be $35 per student, which includes all supplies needed & a snack/juice. Each month, a new sign up & registration will be sent out. Any additional proceeds will benefit the general fund, hospitality fund, technology fund & professional development fund. Art pieces are subject to be used for the Bossier Parish i3 Art Expo in February. Selected Art pieces will be kept and stored by Mrs. Mills and will be returned after the i3 Art Expo. In order to provide time to purchase supplies needed, the deadline to register is Tuesday, February 11th at 11:59PM. The Art Club meetings will be held after School until 4:30 PM.
