Kindergarten-3rd Grade Parents! Cloverbuds, (Bossier Parish 4-H) Sign-Up will be on Tuesday, September 3rd at the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Substation at 5:30 PM. See the attached flyer for more information.
There's still time to help your homeroom win the Pops for Tops Box Tops Challenge! The homeroom that scans the most Box Tops by August 31st will win popsicles on the playground. Download the Box Tops for Education app and scan receipts to raise money for W.T.
Kids on the Run (KOTR) is a series of one-mile runs designed to build camaraderie and competition among the local elementary school students in grades kindergarten thru 5th. This is not a school sponsored event & parents are responsible for transportation & supervision. These races are sponsored by SportsSpectrum and occur monthly from October to April. This run series is separate from our W.T. Lewis Running Club.
The registration fee is $35 + tax which includes 6 races (and two t-shirts for those registered by September 18th).

Miles for Smiles is a dental service for ALL students and they are coming to W.T. Lewis! Enrollment forms were sent home last week. If you are interested, complete the enrollment form and return it to school by Friday, August 23.

Our first Snack Store of the year will be Friday, August 30th! Students will have the opportunity to purchase a variety of snacks ranging from $1-$3 during their recess time. All proceeds will benefit the General, Professional Development, and Hospitality funds.
Poco Voci, Little Voices, is an enriched learning experience for students. It is an opportunity for them to expand their skills, perform for live audiences, work with guest musicians, and be encouraged in their love of music. Throughout the year, students also have the opportunity to perform at various school & community events.

Congratulations to 4th grade for winning the Summer Box Top challenge! Over $100 has been raised for W.T. Lewis using the Box Tops for Education app. You can help raise money by downloading the Box Tops for Education app in your App Store and scanning receipts with eligible products. During the month of August, you can earn 50 Bonus Box Tops just by connecting your Walmart account! PBIS Rewards app is an awesome resource that allows your child to earn points for PAWsome behavior & earn some super cool rewards! Students can earn Paw Points for following the BARK expectations, going above and beyond, & meeting their goals. Students are earning points to participate in EXPERIENCES, such as Basketball with Mrs Banks, Bulldog Book Vending Machine, & lunch with a friend. Your child’s teacher will also be able to document if your child is having a tough day. Family letters to sign up for the PBIS Rewards Family app are being sent home with your child today! Kindergarten students will come home with their letters on Thursday. First download the PBIS Rewards FAMILY app, next scan your child’s QR code, then follow the instructions to complete registration. W.T. Lewis Elementary: If your child will be a car rider and you do not have a carline tag, please get one from the office before 2:30. If you are unable to get a carline tag before 2:30, you will need to park in the parking lot, rather than getting in the carline. Students will not be released to parents until dismissal is over. You will need your ID. We want to ensure safety of all students. Thank you for your understanding!

🚗Carline tags are required to pick up students in the carline for dismissal. If you do not have a carline tag, you can get your student and your carline tag in the office after dismissal is complete. You will need your ID.

The Kindergarten Team is thrilled to extend this special invitation to you for a momentous occasion in your student's life – our upcoming signing day ceremony. On Monday, August 5th, at 5:00 pm, we will be hosting a signing day event in the gym to celebrate your kindergarten student as it marks an important milestone in their life. Your kindergarten student will give their handprint on their letter of intent and a photo opportunity will be available. Additionally, the event will feature an official welcome from our principal, Mrs. Banks and our new Assistant Principal, Mrs. Founds.
